How would you describe yourself or your work in one sentence?

Rainbow Crows is the official LGBTIQA+ supporter group for the Adelaide Football Club.

Tell us a little about what you do

Rainbow Crows celebrates its 10 birthday in 2026. We work with the Adelaide Football Club (AFC), AFL and other sporting organisations to ensure the AFL is an inclusive space for LGBTIQA+ people and other minorities. We do this through education, visibility, community connections and providing safe spaces for our community to be involved in the AFL/W environment as our authentic selves.

What impact or achievement are you most proud of this year?

Although the past year has had several significant challenges in our space, Rainbow Crows has worked tirelessly with key leaders, players and staff in the Adelaide Football Club. We have had conversations on the impact of homophobia and transphobia in sport and the steps that elite sports athletes and teams need to take to ensure all people feel they belong in the sporting environment. We have received a large amount of feedback from community members, players and staff, that our work has made a significant contribution in making the club and sport more accountable in its responsibilities to ensure inclusion is valued and an integral part of the game of Australian rules football. Rainbow Crows had also supported inclusion initiatives and work in other sports in the past year including Adelaide Lightning basketball and Adelaide United Football (soccer).

Why does your work matter to the community?

Sport and particularly team sports have a history of not being an inclusive environment for LGBTIQA+ people, from the locker, to the crowds and more recently online. Our work, particularly in the past 12 months, has made far reaching positive outcomes across media in all formats, online, in the club, sport and in education directly to players.

What would you like voters to know when voting for you?
