Terms and Conditions

 

General Information

The South Australian Pride Awards and the South Australian Pride Gala 2026 are organised by Pride Adelaide, a not-for-profit organisation committed to celebrating and supporting LGBTQIA+ communities across South Australia. Participation in the Awards process and attendance at the Gala confirms agreement with these terms and conditions by all nominators, nominees, voters, ticket holders, guests, and participants.

Awards Nominations
Nominations open and close on dates published on the Pride Adelaide website. Nominations are open to the public and must be submitted through the official nomination form hosted by Pride Adelaide.

Each nomination must include the nominee’s full name, relevant contact details, and a clear statement outlining why the nominee merits recognition. Nominations must align with the eligibility criteria for the selected category. Anonymous nominations are not accepted.

The nominator’s full name and contact details are required. Incomplete nominations or nominations received after the closing date are excluded. Following the close of nominations, nominees will be contacted to confirm acceptance.

Accepted nominees must formally accept their nomination and complete a nominee profile to support assessment.

Public Voting and Panel Assessment
Public voting will open and close on dates published on the Pride Adelaide website. All accepted nominations will appear online for public voting. The five nominees in each category receiving the highest number of public votes will progress to independent panel assessment.

Voting occurs via the Pride Adelaide website. Each person may submit one vote per category. Duplicate, automated, or fraudulent votes will be excluded.

​

An independent panel will assess the top five finalists in each category after public voting concludes. Panel assessment follows published marking criteria for each award category. The panel will be announced prior to voting opening.

Finalists and Award Announcements

Finalists will be announced on a date published on the Pride Adelaide website. Each finalist will receive one complimentary ticket to attend the South Australian Pride Gala 2026. Award recipients will be announced during the Gala. Finalists are strongly encouraged to attend.

Gala Tickets and Entry
Tickets to the South Australian Pride Gala 2026 are sold through official Pride Adelaide channels only. Tickets are subject to availability and must be purchased or allocated prior to the event.

The Gala is an all-ages event. Valid photo identification must be presented to purchase or consume alcohol. Guests under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

​

Pride Adelaide reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who engages in unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory, or abusive behaviour, or who fails to comply with staff or venue directions. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.

Accessibility and Inclusion
Pride Adelaide is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible event. Accessibility information will be published on the Pride Adelaide website. Attendees requiring specific access support are encouraged to contact Pride Adelaide prior to the event.

Photography, Filming, and Media
Photography and filming will occur at the Gala and related events. Attendance confirms consent for Pride Adelaide to capture and use images or recordings for promotional, reporting, archival, and marketing purposes across digital and print platforms.

If an attendee does not wish to be photographed or filmed, they must notify Pride Adelaide staff on arrival. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate requests.

Collection and Use of Information
Submission of nominations, votes, ticket purchases, or event attendance provides consent for Pride Adelaide to collect and store personal information for administering the Awards and Gala. Information collected includes names, contact details, nomination material, voting data, and ticketing information.

​

Nominee profiles and nomination material may be shared with the independent judging panel. Contact details supplied may be used for Awards and Gala-related communication. Pride Adelaide manages personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Award Categories and Criteria
Each award category includes defined eligibility and selection criteria published on the Pride Adelaide website. Responsibility rests with the nominator to ensure nominations align with the correct category and criteria.

Disqualification
Pride Adelaide reserves the right to disqualify any nomination, vote, finalist, or participant where information is false, misleading, incomplete, or non-compliant with these terms and conditions, or where conduct brings the Awards or Gala into disrepute.

​

Changes, Cancellation, and Force Majeure
Pride Adelaide reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions to ensure fair and transparent delivery of the Awards and Gala. Updates will be published on the Pride Adelaide website.

​

Pride Adelaide also reserves the right to modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel the Gala or Awards due to circumstances beyond reasonable control. Where changes occur, Pride Adelaide will communicate directly with ticket holders and stakeholders.
