Tell us a little about what you do
Pride of the South is an Not for Profit Association which organises monthly events for all ages of the LGBTIQA+ Community.
We work with different organisations to improve the lives of LGBTIQA+ community in the South.
We attend many events in the South to promote our organisation and to have great discussions with the Southern community.
We have been working hard for 11 years now and have built many strong relationships.
We celebrate the important days in the year and also organise a LGBTIQA+ DV Awareness Training once a year collaborating with the Catalsyt Foundation.
What impact or achievement are you most proud of this year?
During our 11 years we have had 10 Southern Pride March and Family Fun Days!

We attend certain stall events in the South to network our community group and also include ourselves if possible in the city.
We have won an Intergenerational Award for the Onkaparinga Council in 2025.
Why does your work matter to the community?
Pride of the South's work matters because we don't just organise monthly events.
We spend alot of time having conversations with other organisations and explaining what the Southern LGBTIQA+ Community need and making a way of that to happen.
It is important because we can change people's lives, I can name so many that we have seen monthly for our events and watching them grow and become a strong leader that make others feel welcome. There are people in our committee now that have been a part of our events and then wanting to do more to help and support Pride of the South
What would you like voters to know when voting for you?
We love what we do, we work to improve the lives of the Southern Rainbow Community and love our Pride Marches for us all to get together!!
