How would you describe yourself or your work in one sentence?

A live-singing queer storyteller redefining cabaret through truth, glamour, and grit.

Tell us a little about what you do

Glitzy Von Jagger is a South Australian live vocalist, theatre-maker, and queer storyteller whose work blends autobiographical songwriting with theatrical performance.

Their debut EP Hide and Seek explores identity, trauma, healing, gender reclamation, and queer love. Written in the UK and performed across Adelaide stages, the project marked their first physical release at their debut theatre show Queerdo at Adelaide Fringe.

Their original ballad Balladeer, filmed in South Australia, further cemented their presence as a live-singing artist committed to local storytelling. Their Feast Festival show Glitzy X Puncho showcased their ability to merge live music, character, and cabaret into dynamic queer performance.

From intimate stages at Mary’s Poppin to full theatre productions, Glitzy continues to create work that centres vulnerability, resilience, and community connection.

What impact or achievement are you most proud of this year?

• Established themselves as a live-singing queer theatre artist in South Australia.
• Debuted original music in physical format at Adelaide Fringe, strengthening independent local artistry.
• Created autobiographical work that speaks openly about trauma, identity, and healing within the LGBTQIA+ community.
• Contributed to Feast Festival and Fringe programming with original, locally-produced performance.
• Built a growing audience through consistent live events, hosting, and performance work across Adelaide.

Why does your work matter to the community?

Glitzy’s work matters because it gives voice to stories often silenced: experiences of trauma, gender reclamation, queer love, and healing. Through their music and live performance, they create spaces where LGBTQIA+ people can see themselves reflected, feel validated, and be inspired to embrace their own identities. Their shows — from Glitzy X Puncho at Feast Festival to Queerdo at Adelaide Fringe — are celebrations of queer resilience, visibility, and creativity. By centering authenticity, vulnerability, and chosen-family love, Glitzy builds connection, understanding, and joy in the community.

What would you like voters to know when voting for you?

People should vote for Glitzy because they don’t just perform — they embody queer storytelling in every note and every movement. Their work is brave, honest, and transformative: music, theatre, and live events that tackle trauma, reclaim identity, and uplift community. Voting for Glitzy supports an artist who is shaping Adelaide’s queer arts scene, giving voice to lived experiences, and creating inclusive, unforgettable performances. With Glitzy, every show is a chance to feel seen, inspired, and part of something bigger.
