How would you describe yourself or your work in one sentence?

Equal parts supermodel, sweetheart and sass; an Australian drag sweetheart with a heart as big as her hair!

Tell us a little about what you do

Affectionately known as the “gig-pig of Adelaide” and labelled by Buzzfeed “a real chameleon” there’s certainly no denying that Eve Elle is an ANIMAL on the stage!
From kicks and dips to splits and quips, she’s brightened the Adelaide drag scene for over 16 years and built a reputation as one of Adelaide’s most beloved performance artists.

For 10 years she has proudly (and modestly) boasted about being one of the founding Divas at Mary’s Poppin, a safe space and haven for Adelaide’s LGBTQIASB+ community. When she’s not on stage, she’s welcoming and mentoring fresh performers, collaborating on events and creating new ways to wow!

What impact or achievement are you most proud of this year?

A milestone achievement for Eve this year is undoubtedly 10 fabulous years of performing at her home bar, Mary’s Poppin. As one of just two original staff still working at the venue, Eve has spent the last decade entertaining the masses and inspiring generations with her vast catalogue of iconic shows. An opportunity to cultivate and foster community that she is grateful for every week.

This year has also seen the launch of Eve’s fabulous website www.misseveelle.com (go on, have a nosey)! She dazzled in a sold out Fringe show alongside Adelaide Burlesque and Drag royalty, as well as a sold out Good Drag Spectacular at The Gawler Footy Club (it made the local paper twice)!

As part of her ongoing commitment to empowering and encouraging young people, she has recently worked alongside Flinders Uni and Adelaide Uni to host Pride Events and Sexual Health Awareness Events on campus.

Eve is also very excited to announce that she will be the opening act for TMGW Podcast Live at Hindley St Music Hall this March, and will be returning to HSMH in May as ‘Head Drag Mother’ and Host for gAyTE, a networking event for the LGBTQIASB+ community and allies within the tourism industry.

Look, maybe she doesn’t deserve a Nobel Prize, but bringing joy and smiles to the hearts and far reaches of Adelaide is a pretty noble legacy.

Why does your work matter to the community?

Raised by some of Adelaide’s most iconic personalities, Eve’s love for the queer community and her gratitude for its pioneering generations is apparent in her artistic practice. Now, as a community leader herself, she’s committed to inspiring young and old people alike to express themselves boldly, authentically and without shame. Always a compassionate and nurturing soul, Eve uses her platform to promote activism, inclusion and togetherness. In 2026 she looks forward to stepping into her role as an Ambassador for The Hutt Street Centre, to help raise funds and awareness for its important work in supporting people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

What would you like voters to know when voting for you?

To win this award would not only be recognition of Eve’s amazing work this year, but would also honour her 16 years of determination and evolution to grow into the star performer she has become.
