Charlotte Coulthard-Dare is a proud Adnyamathanha, Barngarla, Kuyani and Yankunytjatjara sistergirl whose strength, visibility and advocacy are changing the landscape for queer and trans mob across South Australia. As a passionate community leader, Charlotte brings together culture, identity and resilience in everything she does.
Through her work in health, education and community spaces, Charlotte is creating safer, more inclusive environments for First Nations LGBTQIA+ people. She stands proudly as her full self, challenging prejudice, breaking down barriers and uplifting others to do the same.
Charlotte’s leadership is grounded in deep cultural connection and fierce pride. She is a role model, a changemaker and a reminder that our communities are strongest when every voice is heard. For her powerful advocacy, cultural strength and trailblazing visibility, Charlotte Coulthard-Dare is honoured as the 2025 First Nations Person of the Year.
