HOLDING THE MAN - Film Fundraiser

7pm Wednesday 26 August

Palace Nova Eastend Cinemas, Rundle St, Adelaide

Pride March Adelaide presents an exclusive fundraiser screening of Holding the Man. Be the first in Adelaide to see this exciting new queer Australian film.

It's the mid-seventies at an all-boys Catholic school in Melbourne and Tim (Ryan Corr) has fallen wildly and sweetly in love with John (Craig Stott), captain of the footy team.

Their romance endured for 15 years to laugh in the face of everything life threw at them - separations, discriminations, temptations, jealousies, celebrations and losses - until the only problem love can't solve, tried to destroy them.

A funny and sad and celebratory account of growing up gay in the 70's that trancends age, sexuality and culture.

Adapted from Timothy Conigrave's acclaimed memoir by Tommy Murphy. Directed by Neil Armfield. Featuring Guy Pearce, Sarah Snook, Ryan Corr, Craig Stott, Anthony LaPaglia, Kerry Fox and Geoffrey Rush.

Celebrate Adelaide’s LGBTIQ love, strength and diversity at this year's Pride March.

Saturday 14 November 2015.

Gather from 5:30pm in the southern half of Victoria Square, Adelaide.

March at 6:30pm.
